I realized that my backlog is getting longer and longer, so since about 3-4 months ago me n my wife tried to re-engineer the production process, by trial and error to eliminate waste time on production, grouping similar process on certain straps, enhance our production speed, etc. Basically we tried to shorten the lead time, as you might know that long lead time is my main problem.
Finally after some improvements here and there, this is the optimum thing we can do for now, we split the straps into 2 big groups, "GUNNY EXPRESS" and just "GUNNY" or regular.
For "GUNNY EXPRESS" we can finish the production at maximum 10 workdays after payment received. While for strap without sign "EXPRESS" will still follow normal backlog.
You can see sign "EXPRESS" beside some straps below. So for every strap with "EXPRESS" sign, I can finish the production maximum 10 workdays after fund received.
Hope this can help a bit on backlog problem. We will try our best to make you customers be happier with us.
PS: we don't outsource the straps to another maker, it still us whom make it and do all the production stages, we just did something like "factory re-layout" to enhance the speed in general.

Prologue.
I'm Peter, strap artist. Strapmaking story started when I wanted to buy a watch strap. I was searching for a vintage looking strap, before I found the one that I'm looking for, accidentally I met my friend that running leather business, traditionally processed. Talked to her about leathery makes me think to try to make my own strap n actualize my ideas on strap. Through some exercises and tutorial that I can found on net, finally it's done, and I show my first-made strap to my friends and they like it, they like the vintage looking, thickness, and softness of my straps. After that I started planning to produce my own brand straps then made it happen, and here I am now, ready to fulfill your passion on a good straps.
Back to strap business. Gunny Straps is a fully hand made, hand finishing straps that is most suit but not limited for Panerai and any other big watches. It's all made by hand with help of small manual tools, so you might find some minor imperfection in it which is unavoidable for a handmade straps. Again, human is different from machine, so every strap is unique and have their own character, especially for manually distressed/vintaged one. If you expect a very precision, perfectly aligned machine-made strap, and perfectly color pattern similarity then you're in the wrong address, but if you're looking for an art strap, with individually numbered, with each its own unique character, then you're in the right place. Any other model also available as per request, not limited to one watch brand only.
Please note that Gunny Straps doesn't have any relation with brand Panerai.
Sizing. Size is fully customized, I can make any size for you. Or if you don't have idea on this just tell me your wrist size, your watch that you want me to make straps for, and I'll give the most suitable size for you. There's tolerance for length +/-2mm, especially for vintagized one, coz my vintagizing process can alter the size a bit. For width its a bit difficult to get exact (tolerance exact 0 .00 mm) for vintagized strap also, but I will manage to as precision as possible. Thickness also might alter a bit than stated, some leather might thicker and some might thinner, but thickness is customizable anyway, as per your request.
Pricing. See it on each serie. For some pricing that's not include the buckle, you can add $17 for adding buckle. If you want tapered width you have to add $10, if you want to add padding you have to add $5.
For buckle, I got all buckle from supplier, I didn't made it by myself coz I'm not a steelsmith. I have vintage style flat sewn in (24-26mm), curved screw in (20-26mm), and thumbnail buckle (18-22mm), I also have BR buckle. Pls notify me when you place order, otherwise I will put vintage flat sewn in as standard for all 24-26mm strap.

Working time. I don't have ready-made strap in stock, all will be made based on your order, so please ask the completion time when you place your order, it depends on workloads at that particular moment. If you need faster, you can choose the strap with "EXPRESS" sign.
Shipping. We've been ship to over 52 countries, I highly recommend you to use insured Fedex for safer and faster delivery, and we well give replacement guarantee in case of lost. Insured EMS will also works.
Extra charge will applied for this, for example EMS +$20, Fedex +$40.
Shipment with uninsured standard airmail is free BUT NO tracking & NO REPLACEMENT GUARANTEE IN CASE OF LOST. Normally it will takes very long, 10-15 working days to arrive , on worst case it can be more than 2 months, so this method is really not recommended.

Waterproof: Yes, I've tested to drop a water on surface about 20 minutes and after that water is still in a form of beads, means no absorbtion at all to leather. Also no water sign at all on leather after I get rid off the water from it. But I never test it for swimming or diving.
Maintenance: only for this particular serie, you can apply mink oil on front, back, and edge to keep it moist, especially after swimming or soaked in water.
BUND Strap
